Stop Bayfill

Save The Bay works to stop bay fill and reckless shoreline development, especially in high priority restoration areas.

When Save The Bay was founded in 1961 urban development and agriculture had shrunk the Bay by one-third, and destroyed 90% of the Bay’s original tidal marsh. With the help of thousands of supporters we've reversed the decline. Even though the era of filling in the Bay is over, people still try. Stopping this Bay destruction remains a priority for Save The Bay.

    Bay vs. Golf Course

The City of Newark plans to fill more than 300 acres of some of the last remaining historic baylands in the South Bay to build 500 houses and an 18-hole golf course. Take action to stop this plan.
