Native-American Heritage Month at the Ravenswood Salt Ponds (Menlo Park)

Sat Nov 3, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 2012, Free
Ravenswood Pond (Menlo Park)

The time has arrived for us to being planting!  Honor the Bay Area’s rich history and its former residents, the Ohlone Indian tribe, with us at the Ravenswood Salt Ponds.  We will learn about the native plants and animals that the Ohlone people depended on as we work to restore the native wetlands in this region.  Volunteers will help us achieve our goal of re-establishing 100,000 acres of Bay wetland by removing non-native plants, planting native plants, and helping with shoreline cleanup.

In partnership with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. You must fill out the online registration form below to register yourself or a group of 10 people or less.
