Coastal Cleanup Day 2012 at Guadalupe River (San Jose)
Sat Sep 15, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 2012 Other (Bay Area)
In partnership with Cal Trans and Santa Clara Water District
Yet another trashy treasure trove! The Guadalupe River runs right along the San Jose Airport carrying tons of garbage along its waterways to the Bay. Come on out to Coastal Clean-up Day and bring your friends as we stop that trash right in its tracks before it hits our beloved Bay. This year it’s BYOB(ucket) at Coastal Clean-up day. We’re making this a zero waste event, so bring your own bucket, gloves and whatever pick-up tools will help to make your experience even better. We’ll be handing out some great prizes after we finish working at noon for our most unusual item found and the best dressed bucket contest!
Due to the sensitive nature of the restoration site, space is limited and RSVP is requested. You must fill out the online registration form below to register yourself or a group of 10 people or less.
If you need more information about this or other events or if you would like to sign up a group larger than 10 people please contact Natalie LaKeidan at (510) 463-6809 or email bayevents@saveSFbay.org.
