Fundraising & Events Fellow (volunteer)

Join a small, talented team of non-profit communications, fundraising and event-management professionals at Save The Bay and gain hands-on experience in online communications, event planning and fundraising. 
 
The Fundraising & Events Fellow works as an active member of our team, and will work on the inaugural Bay Day celebration (October 1st, 2016), assisting with community outreach and partner engagement as well as event programming and logistics. The Fundraising & Events Fellow will also maintain data, conduct donor research, draft communications and perform various administrative duties in support of fundraising campaigns as assigned. 
 
The Fundraising & Events Fellow will gain valuable experience in social media engagement, marketing/PR, professional writing and hands on experience in Salesforce. Fellows make a 12-16 week commitment and are expected to work at least 24 hours per week.  Transportation reimbursement is available.
 

Qualifications:

  • Enthusiasm for Save The Bay’s mission and programs
  • Outgoing personality comfortable with meeting new people, answering the phone, and presenting a professional face for the organization
  • Experience and/or interest in event planning and fundraising
  • Strong writing, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to complete tasks independently
  • Ability to commit an average of 24 hours per week during normal business hours over a 24 week period
  • Willingness for local travel around the Bay Area
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
