Join us for a weekday planting event! Volunteers will learn about local, native plants like gumplant, jaumea and salt grass while planting these seedlings in the marshes around our on-site nursery. Other activities include collecting native plant cuttings, invasive species removal and general maintenance.

Help Save The Bay improve natural wetland habitat in Palo Alto. Volunteers are needed to help achieve our goal to plant 25,000 native seedlings in the Palo Alto Baylands. This shoreline park was saved from development in the 1950s by concerned citizens and is now home to many wildlife, species including the endangered salt marsh harvest mouse.

The rains are feeding our native plants and the invasive plants too! Come out to the Baylands to help free up some space for our wetland plants to thrive in this season of growth. The soft ground make this the easiest weeding session all year long. Restoring these wetlands provides essential habitat to millions of birds making their way north along the Pacific Flyway.

Other activities include seed collection and shoreline clean up.
