Bay Trash 2012: Hot Spot or Not?

Our 2012 Bay Trash Hot Spots include creeks and shorelines that are so trashy, they violate federal Clean Water Act standards.  They are also located in cities that are releasing large amounts of trash into their creeks and the Bay.  This year’s Hot Spots are:

• Coyote Creek in San Jose
• Damon Slough in Oakland
• The Hayward shoreline
• Baxter Creek in Richmond
• San Tomas Aquino Creek in Santa Clara

• Advocate

  Tell the plastics industry to leave our cities alone and stop polluting our Bay.

• Volunteer

  Help us clean up and restore Bay wetlands to benefit people and wildlife.

• Reduce

  Learn how you can reduce your impact on our great natural treasure.
