Bay Education Programs
Community-based Restoration
Save The Bay's Community-based Restoration Program gives students the opportunity to participate in hands-on restoration of San Francisco Bay wetland habitat. While working outside along the beautiful Bay shoreline, students learn about the ecology of wetland habitats, the role of native plants in a healthy ecosystem, and the current issues affecting the health of the Bay.
Save The Bay offers restoration programs at several sites around the Bay:
- Eden Landing in Hayward
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Shoreline in Oakland
- San Francisquito Creek in Palo Alto
- Bothin Marsh in Mill Valley
Click here for a downloadable flyer and map of our restoration sites.
We provide optional in-class, pre-trip lessons and preparation to participating schools to introduce and acquaint students with San Francisco Bay.
